At Weldaloy Products Company we begin protecting your part from external damage before it reaches its final machined state. As a part moves between manufacturing stations‚ it is cleaned of all lubricants and machining fluids and separated from the other parts. In this way‚ we protect your parts from nicks and dings.

Special Crating Cushions Your Parts

Once your parts have passed the final inspection tests‚ they are prepared for their journey to you in boxes that have passed some very stringent tests. We push‚ pull‚ roll over‚ drop from 12 feet off the ground and cajole every package before they are standardized as a good shipping package. The parts are cleaned and packaged to avoid shifting in the box or on the crate. Where applicable‚ the parts are placed in a static free plastic wrap and then placed in the box with additional packaging materials that are designed to prevent shifting inside the box. In some cases we use expandable foam that conforms to the shape of each part. Another molded foam insert may be placed over the top of the part so that it will not slide during shipping. We use wooden crates for larger parts and Triple–Wall cardboard outer boxes and Single–Wall inner boxes and separators for smaller parts.

Your competitors would love to see what you are buying. It is amazing how much they could find out about your parts if they could see them‚ but we make it difficult for them. Where Intellectual Property (IP) is a concern‚ Weldaloy makes sure that all that can be seen is the shipping label.

You Can Handle Our Shipments

One of the worst things that can happen to your incoming receiving department is to get a shipment of heavy parts that can’t be moved by your handling equipment. Here is an example of how Weldaloy makes it easy for you to handle our shipments to you.

Even the biggest forks on a forklift can slip under the 4X4s that support this box. This consideration is also seen when a number of boxes are strapped to a pallet. Even after the straps are cut‚ your forklift can move these boxes with ease.

Preserving the Environment While Protecting Your Parts

Weldaloy is proactive in seeking programs that can minimize environmental upset. Here is one example where we participate with a customer to recycle shipping containers. The top‚ bottom‚ and intermediate trays are all designed to be returned to Weldaloy for re–use.

Another innovative solution uses the patented Sure–Lok system of boxes that break down into a number of pieces that are easily returned for re–use.
