SawingThe sawing operation is an important part of the Vertical Integration process at Weldaloy. With few exceptions‚ everything begins in the saw shop. Mistakes made in the saw shop can cause time delays and increase cost. Because of its critical nature to the entire process‚ absolute precision and accuracy is demanded.
While sawing non–ferrous materials is not “rocket-science”, you must control the speed‚ feed rate and pressure at which the blade is fed into the material to effectively and efficiently process it. If a product is undercut‚ there won’t be enough material to match the final specifications‚ causing delays as new material must be set up again. If the product is overcut‚ the material is oversized‚ resulting in longer machining time‚ more waste‚ and, ultimately non–value–added cost to the customer.
We have developed optimal matrix patterns for all the materials we process‚ eliminating mistakes‚ saving you money and keeping your project on schedule.
We use special blades optimized for nonferrous metals (like copper and aluminum) that allow us to increase the rate the saw blade is fed into the material and the speed at which the material is cut. Our experience in nonferrous metals allows us to process material through the sawing function with speed and precision‚ regardless of the alloy.
